This Ryan STA was built by Ron Peterka of Ramona California. Ron built this plane after seeing the full scale subject at Oshkosh in '96. The model is a 1/6th scale model powered by a K&B 61. The plans came from Sig and were designed by Maxey Hester. The cockpit is complete down to the operating belt buckle!
Ron is 63 years young and his modeling experience goes back to the "mid forties". Thanks for the photos Ron and keep the models comming.
Ron says his next "Stits Subject" will be a Stinson SR-5e on display at the Gillespie field branch of the San Diego Air and Space museum.
